Email Mr. Chester to schedule a virtual conference concerning assignments or grades. Conferences will be scheduled on Thursdays or Fridays. Conferences must be requested at least 48hrs. in advanced.

1st Block - KEYBOARDING

• ​​Google Classroom: This class will meet every Monday.
  • Log into Google Classroom using your DCSS email. Your class assignments will be posted there.​
  • Login every Monday by 10am to participate in your virtual lesson.
    • This lesson will be a class meeting, a recorded lesson, or a video review lesson.
• Check the due dates on the assignments, and be sure to submit them on time.
  • There will be at least one assignment due a week.

2nd Block - FAME BAND

• ​​Google Classroom: This class will meet every Tuesday.
  • Login to Google Classroom by 10am to participate in your virtual lesson.
    • This lesson will be a class meeting, a recorded lesson, or a video review lesson.​
• Practice Logs: Regular weekly practice logs are to be recorded as per FAME Band guidelines. A minimum of 180 minutes (3hrs) a week. 
  • Be sure to log each individual item that you practice in your logs. I will be checking the logs to see that you have practice each point, and grade it accordingly.
• Daily Practice: The exercises below are to be done "everyday you eat..." You may practice other items as well. Log each item individually in your practice log.
  • 12 Major Scales; full range of your instrument(tempo 80 - 120bpm)
    • All state candidates need to play scales at 144bpm
  • Any 5 scale studies in "Habits of Successful Musician"
  • Long tones and any 4 (11a - 11h) in "Habits of Successful Musician"
• PERCUSSION: From the 40 Standard
  • 1, 10, 17, 22, 28, 32, 38
• Assignments:
  • Playing Test: Assessments will post to Google Classroom. Assessments will post Tuesday at by 11am and will be due by Thursday at 11am.
    • You will have 48hrs to complete and upload your playing test. 
    • Test details will post on Google Classroom.
    • Recordings should be uploaded to Charms FIRST.
    • Upload your recording to the Google Classroom assignment only if you CANNOT upload to Charms
    • Test will be reduced by 2pts. for every hour it is late.

MUSIC THEORY

• ​​Google Classroom: This class will meet every Wednesday.
• Login to Google Classroom by 10am to participate in your virtual lesson.
  • This lesson will be a class meeting, a recorded video lesson, or a video review lesson.
• Log into Google Classroom using your DCSS email. Assignments will be posted there.
  • Please pay attention to the due dates on all assignments to insure that assignments are turned in on time.
  • There will be at least one assignment due a week.
