Mighty Marching Jaguars Summer Band Camp

ABOUT.
Band camp is the training ground for the NMHS "Mighty Marching Jaguars." The purpose of camp is to learn and strengthen marching fundamentals,  drill techniques, and performance skills prior to the start of school. The NMHS marching band is a competition band, and fine tuning the details is essential. During camp you will have a chance to bond and grow as a band family as we learn music and routines.

​Camp is a mandatory event for all FAME band and any non-FAME band students that plan on participating for the season.

REQUIREMENTS.

• Ability to read musical works
• Two years of playing experience
  • ​Less than two years may require an audition.
• Strong work ethic and discipline
• Attend summer marching band camp
• Ability to learn new concepts and have fun
• You don't have to be a FAME Band student to march in the band. Speak to a director for more information.
• Must have a completed "Band Camp Packet," and all document need from the "Band Forms & Fees" tab on day one.

• Registration:
  • July 7, 2024 
• Week One - Leadership, Drumline, Auxiliary, Rookies (new students), and other designated students
  • July 8, 2024 - 7am
• Week Two - FULL ENSEMBLE
  • July 15, 2024 - 7am
• Week Three - FULL ENSEMBLE
